A therapeutic massage session will be tailored to your specific needs. We will discuss areas of concern to target, pressure, and what tools may be beneficial to incorporate. A 30 minute session is good for focusing on an individual issue (ex. shoulder pain) or 1/2 of the body (ex. upper or lower body). A 60 or 90 minutes offer more time to give a complete "tune up" while also working on any issues present.
Lymphatic Drainage Therapy aims to gently and rhythmically move the lymph through the body, especially swollen areas of the body, relieving pressure and enhancing the functioning of the immune system. As both a preventative and remedial technique, LD can be used for a wide range of purposes including faster recovery from surgery, injury, reduction of swelling and discomfort from pregnancy, and strengthened resistance to illness. A 60 minute session will concentrate on the major areas of the lymphatic system along the front side of the body, a 90 minute will include the back side of the body.
*Please note, some pre-existing conditions may require clearance from your physician prior to your initial session.

Reiki is a Japanese form of energy work that cleanses and balances the energy system in the body. As a result, the body's natural self-healing mechanisms strengthen, helping to establish optimum health. During a session, I work directly with your energy field to remove blockages, detoxify your system, and restore your vital life force energy. Reiki utilizes a gentle laying on of hands to conduct the necessary energy force between us. The benefits of Reiki range from the release of habitual mental/emotional stress to alleviating chronic pain. I may also use singing bowls to assist with restoring the nervous system state through the use of sound.
Scar tissue massage can be a great help to improve mobility, pliability of tissues, circulation, smoothing granulated areas and reduction of pain to areas post surgery. A combination of techniques will be used to slowly work through scar tissue layer by layer. Lymphatic drainage to the area may also be done to reduce any fluid retention.
*Please note, you must be at least 7 weeks post-op in order for us to work on scar tissue. Some procedures may require clearance from your surgeon prior to your first session. While it is ideal to work on scar tissue closer to the 7 week mark of surgery or injury, improvements have been seen with scars of any time length.
Cupping is a traditional medicine technique that has been used for thousands of years by practitioners in China and West Asia. Cupping uses suction to draw blood or inflammation away from areas of the body to relieve conditions that cause pain. During your session, plastic cups will be placed on the body specific areas to alleviate tension and myofascial adhesions, improve blood flow & range of motion, and reduce inflammation. While feeling tension on the skin is normal, there should be no pain during the session. It is common for clients to have speckling in the areas cups have been placed but they will fade over a few days. Cupping may ease symptoms of arthritis, general muscle pain, headaches, and asthma. It is also used to assist in relaxation, reducing inflammation, blood circulation, removing toxins, and stimulating the peripheral nervous system.
*Please note, there are certain conditions that make cupping not suitable for some clients. Pregnancy, Anemia, pacemaker, DVT, hemophilia, cardiovascular disease, epilepsy and stroke are all contraindications.
During this session we will focus on relieving tension, stagnant energy and fluid retention of the head, face, neck, chest, back and hands using Gua Sha. The Gua Sha tool is used gently on the face and décolleté after a specially formulated, skin nourishing essential oil blend is applied. We will then work on the head, neck, hands and back with a moderate pressure to relieve tension, myofascial adhesions and trigger points.
